After updating my Mi 3 with WCDMA/CDMA China Developer ROM (firmware), I was unable to sync my Google contacts. When I wanted to create a new contact, there was no Google account for me to choose.
How can I make Google contact sync works in this case ?
If you’re sure that Contacts sync is enabled for the Google account that you’ve signed in, and yet you can’t see the contacts on your phone. This is because the Google Contacts Sync app is missing from the WCDMA/CDMA China Developer ROM.
Using Google Installer, you can install the Google Contacts Sync.
Once you’ve done that, you should be able to view, edit and add Google contacts on your Xiaomi device.
Note: From my experience, the phone needs to be rebooted after installing the Google Contacts Sync in order for it to function properly.
