Sir, I’ve set the data usage limit. But now I want to stop it. How can I turn it off, there isn’t an option to do that on the app.
When you set the Mobile data limit on your Xiaomi device, the Data usage app (with the Security app) will start tracking your mobile data usage against the limit you’ve set.
When usage hits the limit, you’ll get a prompt that tells you the mobile data has been turned off. Here, you can tap Enable data if you wish to continue using the mobile data. (Note: Choosing this option might incur additional mobile data charges)
The Data usage app will continue to calculate and show you the exceeded value.
When it comes to a time you don’t need it anymore, follow the steps below to turn it off.
- On your phone, find and launch the Security app.
- Tap Data usage > tap > Mobile data limit > Peak data limit
- Enter 0, then hit OK.
- You should now see the “Data limit hasn’t been set” on the main Data usage screen.
Note: The steps here were written for a Xiaomi device running MIUI V5. If you’re having a different version of MIUI, there’s a possibility that the steps and screenshots will be different.
