Your Galaxy S4 will alert you of new messages, emails, missed calls and when the battery is fully charged by flashing the LED on the front of your phone.
The notifications will only flash the LED when the screen is off.
If you find the flashing LED a bit distracting, especially in the middle of the night where you need a good night’s sleep, you can turn it off.
Here’s how :
- On your Galaxy S4, go to home Settings > My device > LED indicator.
- On the LED indicator screen, deselect the notifications you want to turn off.
That’s easy, right ? Now, how about changing the LED color ? As of the current version of firmware, you can’t do that without the help of a third party app.
If you’re unsure which one you should choose, no worries ! I would suggest that you give Light Manager a try due to its simplicity – Just install Light Manager on your phone, and start changing the LED color for a list of the notifications. Nothing complicated !
Note: The steps here were written for Android 4.3 on a Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500). If you’re having a different model of Galaxy S4 or other version of Android, there’s a possibility that the steps and screenshots will be different.
