How to change email password on Galaxy S4 Email app ?

If you have had your email password changed on the web, you’ll need to enter the new password on your Galaxy S4 in order to download the latest emails.

The thing is that you can either wait for the Sign-in Failed prompt, which you’ll probably get in the next sync session,  to enter the new password, or follow the steps below to do it beforehand.

sign in failed prompt

  1. On your Galaxy S4 Email app, tap Menu button and then select Settings.
  2. Next, tap the email account that you would like to change the password.
  3. Select More Settings, and then select Incoming settings and Outgoing settings to change the password fields.

Note: If you’re using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account type, you can only see Exchange server settings and there’s no Incoming and Outgoing settings.

Thanks raj, that’s the path if you decide go from the home Settings . Alternatively, you can launch the Email app, and then tap Menu button > Settings > the email account > More Settings > Exchange server settings to change the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync password
